I used to come here a lot when The Bourgeois Pig was down the street. It shares a name with its owner who lives upstairs.

This is pretty much the only beach we ever go to. You can take a dollar van on Flatbush can sometimes take you there, otherwise take the B41 to the Q35 and you're there!

There's a water taxi downtown in the Financial District that gives quick trips during the day to Governors Island. Great views of the Statue of Liberty. Check out local events that happen throughout the year including music an art fairs.

One of my favorite galleries in Chelsea (they have another one on 24th st). They represent some of the best artists currently making work. Check out Jack Shainman and other galleries in Chelsea on Thursdays nights from six to eight from Fall through early Spring for gallery openings with free wine.
