“Albert Park is one of Auckland’s best parks. Its central location in the heart of the city, together with its long history and distinctive character, have earned it a special place in the hearts of Aucklanders and made it an important destination for visitors. At one corner of the park is the Auckland City Art Gallery and gardens, and on the other side is the original park-keepers cottage which is now a museum of memorabilia. It's the perfect place for a lunchtime stroll and somewhere to eat your lunch on a lovely sunny day.”

“Grab a coffee and take a morning to discover this lovely natural occurring spring. The bridge is a great place to see the eels, but beware of the ducks and geese as they are confident in approaching you for food! There is currently a plan in place to rehome a lot of these geese as they have become too numerous but this doesn't detract from a lovely walk. Just dont wear nice shoes and watch where you step!”

“Something for everyone! Relax and unwind at the beach or on Mount Drury looking out to sea, or soak your muscles in the hot salt water pools. Enjoy some treats and a coffee at a local cafe or a beverage in one of the bars. Or for those who want action, climb the Mount or walk around the Mount, both with the most amazing views and wildlife spotting! In the summer you may choose to hire a paddle board or surf ski or learn to surf! And for the shoppers, wander down the Main Street to check out the boutique gift and clothing stores.”

“A must-see in New Zealand. Famously a location in Prince Caspian, The Chronicles of Narnia. There are a few ways to get there. If you like walking, you can park for free in Hahei Village, or for a fee on Lees Road. (If you park at the paid parking on Lees Road you will not be able to take the water taxi back to your car.) If you park at the free lot in Hahei Village you can pay to take the shuttle to the top of the hill and shave 20 minutes off the walk, or you can begin the walk at the beach for free. If you are not much of a walker, park at the free lot in Hahei Village and take the water taxi from Hahei Beach. In the off season, check if it is running.”

“The black sand and raw beauty of this West Coast beach never fails to calm and delight the senses of those who see, surf, fish or simply sit on it. Either head down one of the walking tracks accessed by car off Wainui Road, or start off a coastal walk from over the foot bridge at the bottem end of town.”
