A substantial 5/6 bedroomed detached house set in a rural location surrounded by farmland. Private heated Indoor and Outdoor pool, Hot Tub and own Woodland set on 1.5 acres with treehouse, summerhouse and fire-pit. Inglenook fire place. Sky/BT Sport with surround sound. Bt broadband and 4g available
Welcome to Shepley House.. pride and joy for years and now for others to savour. Nestled off the beaten track but accessible for nearby shops, cycle ways, pubs and great walks lives Shepley House. Set in an area of about 1.5 acres, this country retreat offers more than you bargained for ! We are surrounded by a farm ! That means we get deer, hedgehogs, jack rabbits, hares, grouse and all of kinds of wildlife wondering in. Don't worry, they keep out of your way but if you are lucky you might see them. It's also an excellent spot for bird watchers so I am told. In fact, we have a viewing gallery in the midst of its own Woodland from where you can sit still and just listen out for wildlife, or hop down and cook something up in the firepit if your tummy's rumble ! For either on hot or cold days you can then enjoy the luxury of an indoor heated pool, have a dip, swim a few lengths (or just float about) and then retire to the hot tub and sip a cold drink or cup of tea. On warm days, why not open the side panel and retract the roof and get the sunshine on your back whilst you swim up and down... HOT TUB and POOL are 100% private to you and your group On cold winter nights, why not relax in the snug in front of a roaring fire and dry off whilst dinner is being prepared, or call out to one of our many outlets that can deliver to you. Or simply nestle into the lounge and watch or film or catch the latest game or play a dvd, a video game or just read a book...its all up to you. The nights are free from light pollution so it makes for great star gazing if this all becomes too much, just have a midnight stroll in the acre woodland and get lost in the gaze of the stars. If you have any further requirements, for example we can provide gazebo, entertainment, face painting, hog roast facilities etc, please get in touch for more details ! Please respect the environment PLEASE CAN ALL GUESTS REMEMBER TO BRING THEIR OWN SWIMMING TOWELS - WE WILL PROVIDE STANDARD TOWELS. Some rules... For hot tub and pool usage, please remove makeup and shower before use otherwise the quality of the experience will degrade. For those wishing to celebrate with confetti or other materials, no problem but is your responsibility to clean up please and failure to do so may incur an additional charge if it sticks PLEASE NOTE This is a rural location with the main attractions being this setting and other activities mainly relating to wet facilities. Hot tubs are rotated at parts of the year. Ease assume 4 to 6 seater availability depending on maintenance schedules. Broadband is provided but is subject to the whims of the telecoms provider and is not seen as a key feature of the stay. We have however recently installed a broadband network (SIM Wifi) which is accessible from the house and woodland - data can be purchased on demand, please contact our team for further details.
You have some truly great pubs nearby, the Crown, a mix of old and new in Great Ellingham. The Red Lion has incredibly friendly owners who will make you feel at home in Caston. The Waggon & Horses just further down from that will give you an old pub feel with pots and pans and good quality English fayre. Also if you go into Attleborough there are a couple of fantastic Indian eateries: One we recommend is the Shapla Tandoori where you will be treated like King & Queen !

With its attractive, vintage look, take a step back into the Georgian era, and let Sprowston Lodge welcome you to its breath-takingly beautiful acres of mature garden, and fantastic leisure facilities, including a gym, hot-tub, cinema room and snooker table. Situated just 10mins from the Broads and Norwich city centre this property is in an ideal location to truly enjoy all of what Norfolk has to offer.
This secluded Georgian villa away from all the hustle and bustle has all you need for your stay, no need to step foot outside the house and grounds. With its attractive, vintage look, take a step back into the Georgian era, and let Sprowston Lodge welcome you to its breath-takingly beautiful acres of mature garden, and fantastic leisure facilities. Situated a few hundred yards from the newly constructed NDR, (Northern Distributer Road, its easily accessible to all routes and is only a few miles from the vibrant city of Norwich where you can step back into the 21st Century. Voted one of the top ten shopping destinations in the UK, its two modern malls offer a great variety of shopping opportunities. But walk a few streets away from the city centre and you will find Norwich steeped in history with a Norman castle, cobbled medieval streets and cathedral, which has the second tallest spire in England. We have no shortage of great restaurants plus, there is said to be a pub for every day of the year and a church for every week! Very near the famous Norfolk Broads national park, drive 10 minutes to Wroxham where you can hire a boat, so don't forget to bring your fishing gear! It's only 30-45 minutes to miles of beautiful clean beaches, including more lively coastal resorts such as Great Yarmouth or Cromer (famous for its crabs). An hour's drive and you are in North Norfolk, birthplace of Nelson, and a hot spot for bird watching, particular in winter. There's so much to see in this county, not forgetting our share of beautiful stately homes such as Holkam and Blickling. There a great balance in Norfolk of seaside, countryside and city-life of all types. Perhaps that's why its voted the happiest place in the UK to bring up a family. But you don't even need to leave the house, as you can work out in the mini gym (provided by Millers Fitness; www.millersfitness.net) soak in the Jacuzzi under the stars, and overlooking the pond. Play billiards, ping-pong, or tinkle on the baby grand piano. There's a children's play area, with a cupboard of toys and board games for all ages, even a football machine! But even better, watch an action movie on our ultra high definition home cinema with surround sound. There's a good selection of blue ray films for young and old alike. Hopefully we've thought of everything. This Georgian, retro house is crammed with lovely vintage furniture, knick knacks, it has high ceilings, huge rooms and wide windows. Charmingly weathered and faded, it's a little worn in places, but still utterly fabulous. Greatly loved by its owners, we want you to share and feel in its magic. Come in the spring and marvel at the sea of daffodils in the wild garden!!! There's loads of parking, and bags of room for everyone, so visit with all your family and friends. Its only 3 minutes to a Tesco Extra and 2 minutes to a park and ride into Norwich. The welcoming discount price makes it totally affordable so you can't possibly be disappointed. Our only request is that please have a fun time, but take care of this gracious old lady, who speaks more of gentile afternoon tea in the garden rather than all night parties. She is however getting used to the modern touches we have installed, and is certainly looking forward to hearing the laughter of happy people enjoying themselves.
Set in quintessentialy english county parkland only one mile outside Norwich.

The Blue suite is situated in the 16th century part of the house, it was beautifully renovated recently and contains a bedroom with kingsize bed, 42″ flat screen TV, carpets, sash windows and stunning views over the parterre and main lawn. It has its own large, luxury en-suite bathroom with victorian style bath & shower. The Blue suite doesn't have a kitchen but a kettle, microwave, fridge, crookery/cutlery are available in the conservatory with a dining area.
Swafield Hall offers accommodation in a truly outstanding rural setting, within tranquil gardens and beautiful parkland, very close to the sea. Guests can stay in a beautifully restored private apartment, experience life in the Grade II listed Hall, discover its historical interiors, enjoy great views from the windows and explore stunning gardens, a tennis court, a croquet lawn, a large Victorian conservatory with barbecue area. Swafield Hall estate is ideally located near the North Norfolk coast, close to the coastal resort of Mundesley with its wonderful sandy beach (5 min drive), but far enough from the noise of the popular sea resort. Swafield Hall is equidistant between two main tourist attractions in North Norfolk: Cromer (8 miles) and the Broads (8 miles). Sheringham is 13 miles. National Trust treasures Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall are both just in 10 miles from Swafield Hall. The house is mentioned in "The Buildings of England" by Nicolaus Pevsner and Bill Wilson and has an impressive brick and flint Tudor North facade and beautiful lime washed Georgian South elevation. Local legend reports that Admiral Horatio Nelson stayed in the house. He visited the local area many times and attended Paston Grammar School, North Walsham, until he was 12 years old. North Walsham is 2 miles from Swafield. At Swafield Hall guests can enjoy all beautiful gardens, use the tennis court, croquet lawn, barbecue, tables at the parterre for outdoor breakfasts / dinners, seating area in the large wooden Victorian style conservatory, outdoor sunbathing area with deck chairs and cocktail table, shaded relaxation area with a hammock near the parterre and the main lawn, relaxation area in the Arabian Secret garden with a lime tree canopy and two benches etc. The house has ample parking in the tudor courtyard. Guests' bicycles can be securely stored overnight. You can see the latest photos of Swafield Hall online (search SwafieldHall). The Butterfly reserve, Paston Way and Dilham to North Walsham canal (Norfolk’s only artificial, locked sailing canal) are 5 minutes walk from the Hall and ideal for leisurely walks or bicycle rides. The nearest villages are Swafield (1 mile) with the award winning local butcher Tavern Tasty Meats, Trunch (1.7 miles) with a pub 'The Crown Inn' and famous classical concerts in Trunch Church during the summer season, and the Market Town of North Walsham (2 miles) containing several pubs and restaurants, the local Waitrose and Sainsburys.
The nearest villages to the estate are Swafield (1 mile), with famous local butcher Tavern Tasty Meats and Trunch (1.7 miles) with St Botolph church and a popular pub ‘The Crown Inn‘ . The most interesting part of St Botolph in Trunch is its magnificent wooden carved font canopy, one of only four such surviving canopies in all of England. The nearest coastal resort is Mundesley, with its wonderful sandy beach and great pubs (2.9 miles walk/drive). Nearby you can find some of the finest beaches the UK has to offer (Cromer 8 miles, Sheringham 13 miles) and the famous Norfolk Broads (8 miles). The nearby market town of North Walsham (2.5 miles) contains several restaurants, the local Waitrose and Sainsburys. Swafield village had an entry in the Domesday Book of 1085. The church of St Nicholas at Swafield has one of the few remaining Medieval Rood Screens in Norfolk. It was built in 13th or 14th centuries and extended in the 15th century. St Nicholas sits proudly on a hill and there is a beautiful view to the surrounding countryside, including view to Swafield Hall. The picturesque old railway track of the northern section of the Norfolk and Suffolk Joint Railway is just 5 minutes walk from Swafield Hall. It is now a public walkway (a part of the Paston Way footpath) and butterfly reserve. The railway was constructed in the 19th and 20th centuries, though unfortunately the section that linked Swafield to North Walsham was closed in 1964. Pigney’s Wood is 15 minutes walk, it is managed by North Norfolk Community Woodland Trust and serves as a haven for wild flowers, butterflies and birds. The site comprises 1.7 hectares mature mixed woodland, 7.8 hectares of new woodland, 8.5 hectares open ground and 5.5 hectares low-lying, wet grassland. Over 20,000 trees of forty species have been planted since the site was purchased in 1992. In Swafield the walkway along the old railway track crosses the course of the canal. Swafield is one of only a few villages in Norfolk with a canal – The North Walsham and Dilham Canal, which is the only canal in Norfolk. The canal was constructed and opened in 1826 and is 8.7 miles long and runs from Swafield Bridge to a junction with the River Ant at Smallburgh. The canal was constructed with locks a little wider than most canals in the UK to accommodate the use of the Norfolk wherries, hence the image of a wherry on Swafield’s village sign. Have a relaxing time wandering around, or rest on one of the benches and discover the local birds and wildlife.

Our holiday villa is set in a stunning meadow location on the edge of the village together with a number of other holiday properties. We use it as a 'home from home' during school holidays and rarely if ever let it out. We are very close to the Thursford Collection, 10 minutes from Holt and 15 minutes from the coast at Morston or Stiffkey; a few more minutes and you are on the beach at Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham or Sheringham.
Downstairs is largely open plan, with a dining area (seats 8 comfortably), kitchen area (2 ovens, 1 combi microwave oven, one coffee maker, all Neff), sitting area with three sofas and chairs overlooking the garden and an upright piano. Off the kitchen is a laundry/utility room (with washing machine) and WC, together with a side entrance which is useful for muddy boots! Off the sitting area is a TV room which can also double as a bedroom with a sofabed; there is a large selection of board games, DVDs and Wii games at your disposal. Outside is a large lawned garden (badminton and croquet available) and patio area, including a covered decked area. The patio is perfect for a hot tub, which we can arrange for you if desired. Upstairs, bedroom 1 has a super king size bed and en suite shower room, bedroom 2 has two single beds (which can be pushed together to make one super king) and an en suite shower room, bedroom 3 has two single beds (again can be pushed together to make one super king) and there is a family bathroom. There is also a further additional folding bed which can be put in any room.
The North Norfolk countryside is well known for its stunning scenery and coastline, loads of amazing places to eat (some which need to be booked way in advance!), shopping and browsing in Holt, stately homes and gardens to visit... and of course the beach!

A large brick and flint farmhouse overlooking the beautiful village pond. Used as a much-loved home it is now available for short/holiday lets. We point out though that we will not let the house to people who do not have favourable references from Airbnb.
The ground floor space comprises of a kitchen, laundry room, TV room, dining hall, drawing room, self-contained annexe with sitting room, a bedroom with a double bed and another bedroom with a king-sized bed, a bathroom and small kitchen. On the first floor there is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a small dressing room, a guest room, a children's bunk room and a family bathroom. On the top floor there is a further bedroom with three single beds, a shower room and large landing. The house sleeps 4 couples and 5 singles at full capacity, although it is recommended for eight people.
The house is located within easy walking distance of the local pub and village shop. The beautiful sandy beach at Brancaster is about ten minutes drive away. During the Summer months the village has its own working windmill selling bread where bikes can be rented to further explore the area. The amazing Houghton Hall is a five minute drive away and the Sandringham Estate starts across the road from the house, although to visit the house you will need to get in the car and drive for about ten minutes. The wonderful village of Burnham Market is also about ten minutes away. We have left a folder full of local information in the study.

The nearest villages are Swafield (1 mile) with the award winning local butcher Tavern Tasty Meats, Trunch (1.7 miles) with an excellent pub 'The Crown Inn' and famous classical concerts in Trunch Church during the summer season, and the Market Town of North Walsham (2 miles) containing several pubs and restaurants, the local Waitrose and Sainsburys.
