An island of beautiful countryside, the magic of Hampstead Heath lies not only in its rich wildlife and extensive sports and recreational opportunities, but also in its proximity and accessibility to millions of people. There is a zoo, an athletics track, an education centre, extensive children's facilities, three swimming ponds and a Lido.”

“Greenwich Park has great views over London and is very close to lots of great pubs and places to eat. Its a great place to check out the sunset. It's also very close to Greenwich Market which is located in a WHO site and is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00-17.30 and packed with arts, crafts and food. “This park is one of a kind. It's actually a Victorian cemetery, but don't let that turn you off. It's so worth visiting. Unlike anything you've ever seen. And guess what, I happened to recognize it in Amy Winehouse's video for "Back to Black"... how's that for local lore? Make sure to make it to the abandoned chapel in the middle! And then watch the video just for fun.”

“This is a great wood connecting Sydenham with Dulwich, where you can continue your run if you like. If not, make sure you have waterproof shoes on as the paths can stay muddy after rainy days (Distance: 2.4km uphill and a great downhill on your way back)”

“This is a beautiful place to go for a walk in the woods. Dulwich Wood, together with the adjacent Sydenham Hill Wood, is the largest extant part of the ancient Great North Wood in the London Borough of Southwark. Easy to get to the entrance to the wood (bottom of Cox's Walk) on buses 176 and 185 from Champion Hill bus stop heading South (15mins by bus). Or it's a 20-25minute walk to the entrance of the wood from the flat, via Dulwich Park.”
