“The nearest gallery to the flat. Packed with interest in terms of biography in art. Aside from that the building itself is an absolute star. Short walk then across St Andrews Square to the Scottish National Gallery. 10/15 minute bus ride depending on traffic or 25/30 minute walk but uphill. ”

“In my view as an art lover all the Scottish galleries make an effort to be accessible to all and they are the least stuffy of all British galleries. Towered over by the Castle the gallery is the prominent building on the garden side of Princes Street. Not to be missed for the breadth of content. If you like walking its walkable from the flat or otherwise a 15 minute bus ride from the Leith Walk bus stop opposite Casa Amiga. As ever great cafe but as its in town lots of alternatives nearby. Spend an hour to a week in here. It’s content really is that good! My favourite the Van Gogh’s ”

Парк
“This is my top recommendation for visitors, particularly on short visits. It's like being on a movie set with its iconic, surprising buildings. Climb the Tower to get 360 degree views over the city, sea and countryside. It's the best place to get your bearings after arrival.”

Дорога
“Known as such as it is one mile long and connects two of Edinburgh's most iconic locations - Holyrood Palace and Edinburgh Castle, this is one of the busiest streets in Old Town. The Royal Mile is an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions. During the August Edinburgh Festival, the High Street becomes crowded with tourists, entertainers and buskers. It has various souvenir shops along with vintage and quirky bohemian clothes shops, you will also find multiple traditional whiskey shops and drinks locally sourced from Edinburgh and wider Scotland for you to sample and buy. You can also browse through various shops selling Scottish tartan and tweeds. ”
