Field
“Beaghmore Stone Circles is a complex of early Bronze Age megalithic features, stone circles and cairns, 8.5 miles north west of Cookstown, on the south-east edge of the Sperrin Mountains. Discovered during peat cutting in the 1940s the site is a good place for stargazing because of its rural location. It worth scheduling an arrival time about an hour before nightfall (more if you want to spend extra time at the site in daylight) on a clear day to enjoy an amazing sunset over the surrounding peat lands and thrilling "dark sky" stargazing after nightfall.”

“Stunning views of Fermanagh, Donegal and Sligo from here. Check out the viewpoint on the way up too. Great walks in the forest. You can walk up from the shore road (Belleek to Enniskillen direct road). Steep walk but great views as you ascend. Make sure you go on a clear day!”
