“If you like to mountain bike, this is the place to go! Trails for everyone from the beginner to the expert. My favorite time to bike the trails is Sunday late afternoon / early evening. The trails are quiet, as most weekend users have left and are on their way back home or are done for the day.”

“The paved bike/walk/run trail goes from Brainerd to Walker and is perfect for biking, running or just talking a leisurely stroll. You can park in Nisswa or Pequot Lakes and go either south or north. We tend to go to Nisswa and get on the trail and going south is fun for biking and going north is great for walking or running mostly because of the different scenery. However another great bike ride is to ride from Pequot to Nisswa and back to Pequot. It’s all good no matter which direction you chose to go. ”

“This a close-by (2 miles) wonderful place to go to relax, fish, or just walk around. The one side of the bridge/ rec area has the Dam, popular for fishing, a playground, grills and picnic area, the other side of bridge has the small private beach, swimming, boat launch and picnic area with lots of shady tall trees. Never crowded, and little known beach used by primarily locals. About $3-5 bucks a day for the beach/boat launch side. The Gull River runs under the Dam, and is just beautiful to cruise down in a canoe/kayak. ”
