~Some things to
know about staying in Helix~

*Helix is 100% solar powered. You'll have endless power during the day, but we will ask you to be conservative at night or on days with bad weather. No items that draw a lot of power (irons, heaters, electric stoves, CPAP, etc)

*Always check the weather and dress accordingly. We provide a small heat source (Mr. Buddy) but depending on the weather it may still get chilly inside. Please dress accordingly. No refunds due to weather (rain, ice, snow, winds, etc..)

*Closely read the profile and look at the pictures so you know what to expect during your stay in Helix. No refunds for not understanding this camping experience.

*We may not be able to tow you out if you park in the wrong place or don't follow our specific directions. This would be asking us to put our own vehicles at risk.

*When water is available, hot showers are provided by a propane powered tankless water heater. Shower Coming soon. Not ready yet thanks to Covid putting us behind schedule

*can sleep 3 guests.

*We are not able to have Wifi here and reception can be spotty so download or screen shot directions/instructions

*wild animals may be present on the property. Do not approach, feed, touch, capture, or kill any wildlife. Elk are fast, if you see Elk (or deer or cow or coyote) near your trailer do not go out side. Take your pics from inside and please do not try to approach them.

*This is camping in a bus. There is no lock from the inside (yet), however, there is a key to lock it from the outside. Don't let this scare you. No one out here locks their doors including us. I don't even know where my house key is! Relax, Live like a local!

ALL PETS WELCOME AT NO ADDITIONAL FEE!
Just no fleas please. Our land and our dogs are flea-less so help us keep it that way. Plus fleas from another part of the country could easily effect our ecosystem since we have so much wildlife around. If your pet has fleas please dont risk it and leave them at home. *An extermination fee will be charged if fleas are found after your stay*

At the end of the day, this is a camping
experience. As awesome as Helix is, you will still be camping in wildlife. We do our best to provide a convenient and fun experience. Come with a positive attitude and an understanding for what camping in the wild meansd

We are a free spirited couple who moved away from Los Angeles to be connected with nature and ourselves and meet like minded people. Lorren is a southern belle and animal lover born in Central, South Carolina and living all along the South. Chris is a musician and business owner born and raised in LA. Our plan is to be self sufficient and off grid on our land. We enjoy meeting people and introducing them to the wonders of the desert. During your visit, you can expect us to respect your privacy but have the reassurance that we are on / near the property should you need anything during your visit. Our lifestyle is very casual, free, and low key. We love to explore the stars and talk about life. We enjoy road trips and love all types of animals. Kida, our year old Blue Nose Pitbull is usually the first one you'll meet. She'll race to your car eager to meet her new friend. Whisper is our youngest . She is our just now 1 year old Pit bull. She is Kida's shadow and best buddy. Rogan the pitbull is our newest addition. He is still learning the ropes and was raised in a shelter so he is still learning his manners. You can be sure you will feel loved by these 3. As sweet and snuggly as they are, they are also our protection here on the land. So feel safe in knowing you have loving guardians watching over you. Please let us know if you are uncomfortable with dogs or if your dog would rather have their privacy and we will keep ours close to us.
