A stunning contemporary home with amazing sea views from every room, and from the hot tub!

Our architecturally-designed home makes the most of the superb outlook from one of the highest points in the Auckland Region. Roll aside stacking windows in the open-plan living area to enjoy the fabulous indoor-outdoor flow to the large deck & huge lawn. Or relax with a spa under the stars!

Retreat to this quiet, private 6 acre property, just 5 mins from Goat Island in Leigh & 10 mins to Pakiri beach.

Fabulous views from all rooms, the deck and the spa pool. The deck is furnished to make the most of outdoor living with a large 8 seater table, an outdoor couch and bean bag for lounging, and a gas BBQ. And, to top off the relaxation, enjoy a glorious sunset spa then stay out under the stars!

When you're not barbecuing, the fully-equipped designer kitchen, with stone bench tops, gas cooking and dishwasher, along with the extendable (up to 10-seater) dining table provides everything you need for entertaining. Throughout the house, the furnishings are sleek and stylish, complemented by an amazing contemporary art collection with pieces in each room. Timber floors throughout the house lead to the fully-tiled bathrooms complete with walk-in showers, a freestanding tub (with a view of course!) the infinity gas hot water and a full laundry w dryer.

The house is divided into 2 sections with the Master suite (with Queen bed) across the living area from the other bedrooms for added privacy. Please note that this suite incorporates a mezzanine floor which is counted as the 4th bedroom on our listing (with 3 single beds). So the Master and 4th bedrooms are on different levels but not completely sound proof / separate from each other. The other two bedrooms are standard queen rooms each with a wardrobe and their own door to the outside.

With great cell coverage and fast broadband speeds, it's entirely possible to work from this stunning location. Great cell reception on both Vodafone and Spark networks, plus fixed wireless broadband gives excellent 4G connectivity (please note data usage is limited to an average of 20GB per day as unlimited plans are not available in our rural area). There's a flat-screen TV (no Freeview or Sky, but lots of DVDs available) and Netflix/streaming service capable (please note, you will need to BYO Apple TV, Chromecast or similar, and sign in to your own account to use this).

For winter stays the house is cosy and warm – the north facing aspect means sun streams in through the double-glazed windows during the day; while a wood burner provides heating in the evenings. And the spa is on year-round!

*** NOTICE COVID 19 - As responsible hosts, we have instituted safeguards for our property manager and guests in these challenging times - all hard surfaces including in the kitchen, bathrooms, and door handles, will be fully cleaned and sanitised as usual, and then spray disinfected prior to your stay. The house will also be left to 'rest' for 72 hours between bookings, as studies have shown this is the maximum time that the Covid 19 virus can live outside the human body. We have also changed to a flexible cancellation policy so you can book with confidence depending on government policy. ***

You'll have the entire home and 6 acres of land to explore! Please note that the house sits on a flat 3/4 acre, while the remaining land is in steep bush-clad slopes.

Covid 19 - We have instituted safeguards for our property manager and guests in these challenging times - all hard surfaces including in the kitchen, bathrooms, and door handles, will be fully cleaned and sanitised as usual, and then spray disinfected prior to your stay. While we have a 'strict' cancellation policy, we will provide a full refund of our fees in the event of a cancellation due to changes to government restrictions due to the Covid-19 siuation; so you can book with confidence depending on government policy.

Notes for guests requiring disabled access - the house is not fully equipped but fairly well set up for people with physical limitations. We do note however that there are a few steps to enter the house - previous guests have provided disabled access by bring a ramp to attach up to the deck which is approx 40cm above the ground level on the front of the house. The master bedroom has lots of clearance around the bed and the shower is step / lip free with a handheld nozzle. However the width of both the bathroom door and the shower opening is narrower than optimal at 760mm, rather than 810mm. Hope this helps with your planning : )

Insects and wildlife - the house is set is in the countryside and comes with all the various abundant lifeforms that go along with that. Possums and birds hang out on the deck sometimes; rabbits hop around on the lawn, tuis feed in the flax bushes and insects of all kinds visit too. Sometimes insects will be present inside the house (and may build webs / fly about / die in between the cleaner finishing her work to prepare the house and guests arriving...we've asked them nicely to stay out but they don't seem to be listening so far... ;) It's not really a big problem, but just so you are aware: it's the country and there may be critters.

Locks on bedroom doors - while we have this feature, it's for some rooms and not others. The Master suite (incorporating the mezzanine room, which is accessed by an open staircase from inside the master bedroom) can be locked from the rest of the house; the blue/grey bedroom has a lockable door; and the pistachio green room doesn't have a lock.
