Жилье
Although room is tiny, you will have own fridge, and microwave. You will find tea bags and a mug, and maybe some water, soda, juice or tea in the fridge, or downstairs in the cupboards (also contains hot chocolate, tea bags, and some noodle read to eat meals). A keurig is in the kitchen. There is a nicely stocked corner store, and they prepare a decent variety of hot foods. There is ample storage space in the 6 drawer dresser. Your room faces the south, which means a sunny morning, and also you will hear a passing train at all hours of the day and night. If absolute silence appeals to you, then maybe you should seek shelter somewhere else. There is a lock on the bathroom door. It is assumed that when there is no one in, the door will be open. If the door is shut, we assume it is occupied. If you don't know, knock. I like to keep the home as a family atmosphere, think of it like you are visiting Aunt Marlene.

Что доступно гостю
There is 1 bathroom, that is shared. There is a lock on the door, when it is closed, we assume it is occupied, when it is open, it is first come, first served. There is a supply of guest towels in the dresser, and a variety of toiletries in the bathroom. (there is a stash of miscellaneous soaps/shampoos/lotions in the room, and in the bathroom) There is a park across the street, including a basketball court, and a dedicated skateboarding park. The perimeter is measured at 1/2 mile, so if you are walking or running for exercise, you have knowledge of the distance. There is a nice heirloom dining room table, where you are welcome to use to eat your meals or use your computer. The stove in the eating area is gas, and there is a fridge, where you can store things in the fridge/freezer if you want. The sink is new, and already showing a lot of wear and tear, so much for trying to renovate! My wifi provider is Comcast/Xfinity, and this is residential grade. If you require a professional/business/commercial grade internet connection to conduct business from my house, this won't meet your expectations. Downloading 4 seasons of Game of Thrones may take a while. The signal is strongest in the living room/dining room area. You are also welcome to sit outside on a chair on the front porch, or on the back porch.

Важная информация
Our home hosts various people. There are times the house is full, other times, it is empty. I have wonderful neighbors, of every race, they are willing to help guide you to bus and train stops, and give you advice regarding shopping, and tourism. Don't be afraid to ask, if we aren't around to advise. The neighborhood is pleasant, but gritty. People work, work hard, and sometimes they also work on their cars. Don't let the graffiti, and the cars 'mid-repair' alarm you. I've lived here since 1992. Please don't prejudge, this is a safe place. It's just not spit-shined. Garbage day is usually Friday, but sometimes Saturday, and sometimes garbage accumulates.

The neighborhood is predominantly small row homes, working class area, mixed ethnically, with a blend of owners and renters. I can't say it enough: It is gritty. It is healthy. It is lively. But, it's not spit-shined and sanitized like downtown. There are several small businesses nearby, a corner grocery/deli/hot foods establishment, daycare on the next block, and a roofing business around the corner. There are a few bars within walking distance, if that's your thing. It is close to I-95, though one rarely hears traffic. The Amtrak, SEPTA, and Conrail lines zip by, and you can hear them as they pass. The park across the street has ample structures for children to enjoy, and a vast area to relax in. There is a large Baptist church on the next block, and other churches within walking distance. You can walk 20 minutes to a large supermarket, or take the bus to other shopping. This is not downtown, so we don't have the types and varieties of places you'd get there, but nevertheless, we have access to pretty much anything you'd need.

I've been doing Airbnb for several years, also Mennonite Your Way (the beta version of Airbnb) since I was 19. I am still working on rehabilitating the kitchen, it's a labor of love, and I am learning how to forgive myself for all my DIY mistakes! I just got a job 2 hours away, and so I'm spending most of my time away from home. Don't worry, my neighbors are always available, if I'm not.

Во время проживания
I'm not always home. I try to come by at least once a week and do a whole house sweep/mop & cleanse, but it is expected that each guest cleans up after themselves, just like you would if you were at home, or visiting Aunt Marlene. Many of the neighbors will also be pleasant, and might want to engage you in conversation. Don't prejudge them. Even though they might be wearing their p.j.s outside, or are fixing their cars on the street, or playing their music too loud, or let an f*** bomb fly, maybe even relaxing with a joint, they are genuine red blooded Americans, and pretty down to earth. I have taken certain guests on whirlwind late night tours of downtown Philly, and joined them at certain ethnic restaurants, so if time permits, I'll extend this experience to you. If something doesn't work, or meet your expectations: Talk to me, right way, so I can fix the problem.
