Общение с гостями
The apartment is managed by on site as I do not live in Cyprus. I can be contacted by email any time and will always reply within 24hrs. I have a representative at the resort who can help with local knowledge and check in.
Most people fly into Larnaca Airport and I can recommend a great taxi service who will pick you up on your arrival and return you to the airport at the end of your stay with little fuss or bother. They also provide excellent value car hire.
North Cyprus, or to give it its full name, The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), lies to the North East of the island of Cyprus.
Cyprus is the third largest of all the Mediterranean islands and is a country of great beauty and contrasts.
It is still one of the best kept secrets of the Mediterranean with beautiful beaches and the sea temperature rarely falling below 16°C and often rising to 28°C later in the summer.
There are stunning mountains, excellent food and restaurants, friendly people and it is virtually crime-free.
Mass tourism does not exist, the island enjoys over 320 days of sunshine each year and with mild winters and long hot summers, it has long been a favourite with British holiday makers looking for villas or hotels.
Many of the British ways have been adopted by the government of the island including the British legal system - they even have the same electrical system using the same voltage and plugs.
The cars drive on the same side of the road, which is great if you use a car hire service and although Turkish is the first language, English is the second, with many of the local people speaking English.
The British are genuinely welcomed to the island for both holidays and for residency!
The main towns in the TRNC are Nicosia, Farmagusta, Kyrenia and Esentepe. Kyrenia has one of the most picturesque harbours in the world, fringed with excellent restaurants and an ancient fort: it is well worth a visit.
The shopping in the fort is also good, especially for leather goods and jewellery.
The Northern part of the island has some of the best beaches on the island and is less developed than the southern side of the island.
Travelling east from Kyrenia on the new road you encounter unspoilt beaches and coves where the turtles come to lay their eggs at the end of July.
The Besparmak mountain range, with its rugged beauty, rising high behind Kyrenia and above the coastal plain, is a sight to behold.
All the beaches are free to the tourists and locals alike - although a small charge is made for the sun loungers and umbrellas - essential during the summer months.
Going east from Kyrenia
On the new road you will reach Catalcoy Beach - a small quiet cove with a good, newly appointed restaurant. This deep water sandy cove has a small diving board facility.
Continue on and take the sign to Aligadi Beach - One of the countires protected and unspoilt beaches - where turtles come in mid June to lay their eggs and which hatch in July August. They are looked after by an English University project who care for the Loggerhead and Green Turtles from nesting to hatching.
One can book an overnight watch to see the female turtles lay their eggs and return to see - when they never see their young again. and later to watch the hatchlings return to the sea from mid August to September.
Further on there is Lara Beach, found by an unmade up road, down to an unspoilt sandy beach with interesting rock formations. Providing parking, showers, toilets and a beach restaurant serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and meals and open all the year round.
All within half and hour from Kyrenia
Travelling West from Kyrenia
Kavanseri Beach - good facilities, toilets wonderful, sands and local cafe on the beach and restaurants above, provide views all along the coastline. Small boats providing day trips from Kyrenia Harbour anchor off-shore for swimming and picnics.
Escape Beach - where the Turkish army landed in 1974 has a small museum and a large monument celebrating their arrival. There are jet skis and a diving school, providing fun days out together with a local night club.
Deniz Kitzi Beach and Hotel - Standing above a wonderful cove of sand and high rock - has both sunbeds, umbrellas and a very large fresh water swimming pool, parking facilities, restaurant serving ice cream hot and cold drinks snacks
There are many other small sandy coves with good beach facilities to be found for the descerning explorer.
On the eastern side of the island from Farmagusta - this main port with its ancient walled city, passed Bogas with its little harbour of small fishing boats and good restaurants. Overlooking the beach and harbour and right up to the tip of the Karpas - Aandreas Monastary - there can be found more sandy unspoilt beaches.
Crossing over the mountain range near Kantara Castle - Kaplica Beach and a small turkish cypriot farming village - has an inexpensive hotel situated right on the beach and where the turtles also lay eggs.
The conditions are ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

Restaurants and food in Northern Cyprus
There is a perfusion of restaurants catering for every taste from Chinese, Indian, European and of course local food, where the local people can eat at resonable prices.
If you visit the ancient harbour in Kyrenia there are numerous fish and meat restaurants overlooking the boats.
At night time the whole area is lit up, including the ancient fort - making the area look romantic and enticing.
The old streets also house many other restaurants, serving both local and international cuisine such as dolmades - elsewhere you can find local tavernas selling fresh local Turkish food for as little as £5 a head.
The Archway Restaurant at Zeytenlik - a five minute drive out of Kyrenia has a lovely terrace on which to eat during the summer and a cosy inside bar in winter serving traditional turkish food at reasonable prices. Booking is recomended during the summer in this popular restaurant.
Beyti Restaurant - Just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Kyrenia. An excellent family restaurant with its water feature during the summer, the service is good, spotlessly clean and the prices excellent. They have a take-away service and are open 24 hours a day.
Ezic Chich House - on the main road between the Lefcosia Roundabout and the Jasmin Court Hotel, serves local food and has excellent service. In summer this restaurant gets very busy but one never has to wait long for a table.
Peanuts Restaurant - is part of the Ezic chain. Situated behind the hospital, on the Catalcoy to Kyrenia road. This very attractive restaurant has a large terrace overlooking the Old Kyrenia Castle and flood lit sea to add to its charm.
Benoz Restaurant - at Aligadi is worth a car ride. A very friendly family-run restaurant with a lovely garden restaurant for the summer months and a cosy dining room with open log fire during the winter. Serving excellent fresh fish, meze and kebab.
Abbey Bell Tower at Bellapais - Enjoy a meal in a restaurant built around an old Olive Tree and overlooking the Abbey and Sea. This restaurant will provide excellent food and a free taxi service to and from your residence or hotel.
