You make handmade Udon and cook Wagyu sukiyaki. Wagyu (Japanese beef) is said to be the best meat in the world. We are sure that if you join this class and eat it, you’ll be surprised at the deliciousness. At first, you make udon by hand. There are several processes to make udon and you can enjoy each of them. And then, you cook Wagyu Sukiyaki. You put Wagyu and various ingredients such as mushrooms, Japanese leeks and garland chrysanthemum, Tohu and lastly your handmade udon into a special iron pot. Then you heat it and it is done. Wagyu sukiyaki is definitely the most delicious dish among many cuisines in Japan. If you join this class, you won’t forget the taste even after going back to your country.
Since living abroad I have always enjoyed teaching Japanese recipes to foreigners, such as udon and tempura, simple dishes which few outside of Japan know how to make. I want to share these traditional recipes with you along with cultural insights into Japan and making sure you enjoy yourself as much as possible. From 2013 I have been organizing events showcasing Japanese cuisine to foreign students and people on working holidays living in Japan. Now I am running a restaurant and café in a traditional-style Japanese house in Asakusa, enjoying exchanging cultural differences with foreigners.
