Чем вы займетесь
Our Historical Walk, Cultural Talk & Dim Sum experiences are offered year-round. You will learn about the significance of Chinatowns around the world, the importance of Vancouver's Chinatown and the heritage buildings (we are the only ones who can take people into the heritage buildings). You will learn about Chinese tangible and intangible culture. We will also eat together and share dim sum stories. Please contact me if there is a date and/or time that you want that is not listed.
Judy Lam Maxwell specializes in the history of the Chinese in Canada and Chinatowns around the world. Judy is third-generation European Canadian on her dad’s side and first-generation Chinese Canadian on her mother’s side. She completed an M.A. in History from the University of British Columbia, and a Certificate through the Centre for the Study of Historical Consciousness at UBC’s Faculty of Education. She is an activist in Chinatown, and has two successful businesses: Steven Wong is a retired educator who specializes in the arts. He is fourth-generation Chinese Canadian and has strong connections to Chinatown's beginnings and history. Steven worked in the public school system and at Emily Carr University of Art & Design for over 20 years, in Fine Art Print-making. Both leaders have tremendous knowledge of Chinese food & culture.
