Чем вы займетесь
Edinburgh Old Town closes and courtyards hide unexpected vistas, gardens, picturesque buildings and historical locations. On this half day walk you will learn how the Old Town was first built up, and subsequently revamped in the second half of the 19th century in the unique Scottish Baronial Revival style that so captured the Victorian imagination. Your guide will also point out and explain post-modern award-winning architecture. On top of that you will discover the remains of ancient Edinburgh city wall, find more ins&outs than an Edinburgh local would know, and take in the greenery of Royal Mile's hidden gardens. We will break for a meal in a lavish Neoclassical setting of Signet Library.
Your guides - Olga, Agustina, or Mohona are all architecture graduates, students, or architects. Some currently study their second masters, or a doctorate degree, while others tutor at University, and volunteer in city conservation groups. We are very excited to show you the history of Edinburgh through architecture!
