We’ll start by meeting at JR Chihaya Station. From there I will take you on a short, plesant drive (about 10 minutes) up to the temple. At the temple, the monk will welcome us by chanting a peaceful sutra, and afterwards, discuss the basics of Zen in a friendly and interesting way. Then we shall meditate together in silence. Outside the temple, you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Hakata Bay while feeling the sea breeze. You will also find a little Zen garden and a small Shinto shrine to our local god. The temple gives a warm welcome to anyone who visits. *The temple is under construction to fix the roof until the end of April 2019.
