At the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project, where we succeeded in reintroduced gibbons back to the wild where they were poached to extinction some 40 years ago, I will introduce you to our missions, our hopes, our research works and our gibbons in care. I (or my researcher team) will escort then show you how to prepare special gibbon nutrition ball. You will learn and enjoy making this supplement food wrapping in banana leaf and put it in our long-distance feeding system.
At this stage, I will teach you how to observe and collect valuable research data from gibbons. You will also learn how to differentiate and understand each voice they make and hidden meaning of their movement behaviors. I will share you unforgettable stories while I follow this species in the deep jungle. This is a great opportunity to be once-in-a-life-time gibbon research assistant and make a better life for them.
Moreover, if lucky, you will see some other beautiful wildlife including Oriental Pied Hornbill, Flying Lemurs, Flying Dragon, Golden Orb-weaver Spider and many more! Our experience ends at 11:30 am but we suggest you to spare another hour trekking and appreciating a beautiful waterfall in the last remaining rain forest of Phuket.
