We will start simple with sitting down, making ourselves comfortable. I will ask about any issues have with your body, so that I know what you can do and what you can't do. The class starts with chanting Om, Then some simple stretches, involving every part of the body. Next are basic, intermediate or advanced asanas or postures, depending on what you are comfortable with or used to doing. For first timers ,we will stick to the basic postures. This is followed by Pranayam, or basic breathing. We will end the session with a deep relaxation or yoga Nidra. I will fine tune the class, depending on what you need, more physical or a deeper relaxation .
I have extra yoga mats, but you can bring your own, if you have one.

I started learning yoga when I was about 10 years old, but this was mainly the physical aspects of yoga. Spirituality entered my practice at a much later time, and it transformed my life. Just being aware of your breath during meditation, and then during the day, is life changing and makes for a perfect companion, as it keeps me balanced as well as energised. I have studied yoga through schools such as Bihar school, Shivananda , Vinyasa and Isha yoga. I bring all these to my practice, as they all have a lot of different aspects to offer. Vipassana gets in the element of mindfulness.

The class can be held indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather, the number of people and the time of the the day.

Mornings are the best time for yoga, though if you want more relaxation, evening is better. Come on a near empty stomach...you should have your last meal 3 or 4 hours before the class.
