My husband and I love "off the beaten track" adventures when visiting a new country. This was exactly that and I highly recommend it! Pablo is a certified and experienced trekking guide. He was great-- kind, informative accommodating and safety conscious. He communicated with us prior to the trip, explaining travel logistics, daily schedule and packing list etc. We hiked to the summit of Cerro Tres Picos (1239 m) with a gradual ascent through grassy meadows, followed by a pine forest then alpine tundra. The final ascent to the top was rocky and steep, but offered spectacular 360 degree views. On our second day we went mountain biking in and around Sierra de la Ventana which was great fun. The adventure was all inclusive -- transportation, full room/board (at a very comfortable B&B), guiding, entrance to Cerro Tres Picos and the biking. There was one other lovely couple with us on the trip which made our time even more fun. On our final evening, Pablo treated us to an authentic Argentinian "asado" of chorizo, pork and beef which he prepared! Pablo speaks fluent English, is an avid mountaineer and is passionate about what he does. Don't miss this opportunity if you enjoy nature, hiking, biking and adventures in locations not frequently visited by most tourists.
