Чем вы займетесь

Experience healthy tofu making from scratch. You will learn how to make tofu using soy bean. Ideal experience for vegetarian and people who love tofu and healthy food. This class include vibrant local Mangwon market tour before class too.

During the process, you will taste and cook everything you get in between - tasting soy milk, tasting soft tofu with soy sauce seasoning, cooking soy bean pulp pancake and stir-fry home made Kimchi well matched with tofu!

Small class (group of less than 3 people) is led by certified Korean chef Jomin ( She is running Kimchi making class and side dish class on Airbnb too! ) in English, and conducted in her own home kitchen around Hongdae area.

This is not a demo class, but a hands on class you make your own tofu from scratch. So you can repeat healthy tofu making back at home for your beloved family and friends. During the class, you become friends sharing your passion about food, culture, and travel.

Jomin pick you up at exit 2 of Mangwon station. On the way home, you visit the local Mangwon market where you experience the Korean vibrant food culture through your own eyes and buy fresh ingredients. After that you learn to make tofu and cook using it in Jomin's home kitchen.

We had a wonderful time with Jomin. She took us on a walk through the local market and explained some of the food items that could be found. This was really helpful as newly arrived expats, because sometimes grocery shopping can be a little more challenging when you don't know the language very well. After the market, we walked to Jomin's house and had a blast learning how to make tofu, soybean milk, soybean pulp jeon, and stir-fried kimchi with tofu (a bar staple as we've come to learn). Needless to say, we left stuffed and very happy. Jomin did a wonderful job helping us feel welcomed and showing us all the steps involved with making tofu. In the end we left feeling like we had someone we could ask for advice while in South Korea and even more importantly, tofu making has become a skill that even we can do at home thanks to Jomin's expert teaching skills. If you're thinking about going on this experience, do it.

What a magical experience! Jomin is so kind and genuine, and gives a fascinating tour through the local market, providing information about the different stalls and foods seen there, and even helped me find an ingredient I’d been unsuccessfully searching for for a week. The cooking itself was so much fun, and Jomin left us with a cookbook, full bellies, and an even deeper appreciation for Korean cuisine. Highly recommended.

It was a great experience. Jomin was very friendly and patient to explain every step, so I could successfully made the Tofu dishes, I even brought the Soybean pulp home and made the Kimchi stew in the next day with Jomin’s recipe, very delicious! Highly recommend.

Jomin is an experienced teacher. She showed us how to make soya milk and tofu from the beans and I really felt involved in. The tofu and soya milk both taste very good ! I like it. Besides, we can make friends in the class ! People here are all really nice and helpful ! Thanks all.

It was a wonderful experience walking through the markets and making fresh tofu! She was very prepared, shared a lot of stories with us and made it enjoyable. We can't wait to make tofu at home!
