Чем вы займетесь
We've got 1400 years of history to cover, but don't worry — our tours are limited to 6 guests, so you won't miss a thing! During the meet-and-greet you'll receive colourful, hand-illustrated maps and booklets made just for this tour. First we'll get to know Sensoji temple, Tokyo's essential sightseeing spot, but we'll be sight-touching, tasting and learning too! Learn the history and secrets of this ancient place, while participating in the temple- and shrine-visiting rituals that Japanese people know. You'll have fun drawing a paper fortune. We'll even take a detour into the quiet back streets to pick up some freshly-made 'melon pan' sweet bread, and enjoy it in the shade on the temple grounds. After that, we'll escape into the 'Rokku' area: Asakusa's traditional entertainment district, always bustling yet rarely busy. Walk through the Meiji period into the present day, with stops along the way for more Japanese sweet snacks. This district of endless novelty — movies, comedians and exotic animals — became a quaint neighbourhood of handicrafts and nostalgia. Through vivid descriptions of its complex, colourful history, you'll even see sights that aren't there to see anymore!
Japanese sweet snacks A number of Japanese sweet (but not too sweet) snacks, e.g. melon pan, ice cream, and hanami dango —…
Omikuji (fortune paper) A 'ticket' to your future...? Anyway, we'll give you a coin so you can enjoy the process of drawing…
I'm a Japanese with 18 years' experience abroad in England, Bulgaria, and the US. Since coming back to Japan, I've wanted to return the kindness I experienced by giving visitors to Japan wonderful memories they can keep forever. These experiences inspired me to start my own small tour company one year and a half ago in Asakusa, my home in Tokyo. Lately, I’ve decided to help locals who are excited to connect with foreign visitors to share their culture, so I started a small tour guide training school. I wanted to do so in English specifically so they can feel confident in intercultural situations. Everyone’s professionally certified so they can give top-notch tours, but we keep our own team size small for the experience to stay intimate for all! Где вы побываете
At Asakusa Bridge we can enjoy a great view of some iconic buildings across the Sumida River. Then we'll take in Sensoji temple, incl. the famous 'Thunder Gate' and Nakamise-dori shopping street (and some quieter back streets too), as well as the temple grounds proper. We'll see the pretty and peaceful Asakusa Shrine too. Finally we'll wander the winding streets of the 'Rokku' district west of the temple, peeking beneath the surface as we go.
