Чем вы займетесь
You will Sail on my 39' Hunter sailboat in Southern Georgian Bay from Midland to Giant's Tomb Island where we will anchor off a 1.5 km long beach. There you can jump in the water to swim , walk the beach, snorkel, or simply just enjoy the views and wildlife. Lunch will be served aboard. Then we will sail back in a slightly different route to take in different views. Each guest is encouraged to participate as much as they wish in the activities of sailing and boat handling. You may help with docking, unfurl the sails, trim the sails and take the helm (steer the boat) to your heart's content! If you are interested, I will talk endlessly about navigation, sailing, marine electronics... whatever nautically you wish to know. And/or I will talk endlessly about the islands we are sailing around giving you the inside skinny on historic activities, and native American regional history (most of the islands have aboriginal names) At the end of your trip, you will have a basic understanding of sailing and know enough to be comfortable and safe when on a sailboat. You will be happy and rested, and wish it didn't have to end.
I am passionate about sailing and Georgian Bay. As a youth, I lived on a sailboat for the three months of summer, every summer for 15 years, sailing from island to island. My love of this area and this activity has never left me, and sharing the experience with others is just as exciting for me every time I have guests onboard. Having owned my own boat for 30+ years now, I have sailing stories from venturing as far as Bermuda - sailing straight down from Nova Scotia. I have traversed the Trent Severn Waterway, and Rideau Canal. The Ottawa River, and the lower and upper St. Lawrence Gulf.
A catered lunch included. a variety of light snacks Please inform us at time of booking of any food allergies or special diet…
