Чем вы займетесь

Pesto is a cold basil sauce, ideal with fresh handmade pasta, but also for unconventional yummy tapas! Plus, it was also Sinatra's favorite ;-)

We'll learn how to prepare it following the original recipe, while sipping a glass of Cinque Terre wine and enjoying a typical local "aperitivo", each one with his/her own white marble mortar and the needed ingredients.
Once the sauce done, we'll taste it on local focaccia toasts and in case you have some extra pesto left in your mortar you'll even get a food box to take it home!
During the class I'll tell you everything about this basil sauce, its ingredients, but also its conservation and the ideal pastas and recipes to go with.

Once back home you'll be able to impress your family and friends with a typical Italian Riviera meal ;-)

I was born and grown up in Cinque Terre area, then I left to live in Paris and when I came back, a few years ago, I re-discovered my region, its traditions and above all its food and wine.
Pesto is my favorite! I can eat it every day without never getting tired of it. I learned to prepare it the traditional way during happy summer afternoon on my grandma's balcony overlooking Vernazza Main Street... sweet memory and cool knowledge.
I love to share the original recipe and cool advices to fully enjoy it with foreign friends and guests and I'll be more than happy to share it with you too!

Silvia è stata molto cordiale e attenta fin dall’accoglienza. L’esperienza è stata coinvolgente e interessante, arricchita dai tanti racconti personali di Silvia. Il pesto era fantastico, accompagnato da ottimo vino, focaccia e stuzzichini vari. Silvia ci ha raccontato dettagli importanti sul procedimento e gli strumenti da utilizzare per la preparazione del pesto genovese, indicandoci anche dove acquistarli. Un’esperienza ben oltre le nostre aspettative. Grazie Silvia!

Consiglio vivamente l’esperienza con Silvia per la qualità di tutta l’attività: il luogo si presenta molto curato e pulito, la cooking class dura un’ora abbondante, nella quale è possibile divertirsi con l’host nella preparazione del Pesto. Tutto davvero speciale e irripetibile. Al termine è stato meraviglioso concludere l’esperienza con i frutti del nostro lavoro, assaggiando focaccine in gran quantità accompagnate da un ottimo vino locale. Ribadisco la bontà di Silvia e l’esclusività della sua Experience.

I had the best time in Silvia’s class. She is welcoming and friendly and very passionate about her subject. The pesto I made with her guidance was fabulous... if you think you know pesto because you’ve had the stuff that comes in a jar from the supermarket, think again! Silvia was very careful to explain what ingredients make an authentic pesto, how to make sure to keep all the lovely flavours balanced, and she shared a wealth of tips and experience to help recreate a delicious pesto at home. She went to some trouble to find a range of gluten free breads (including focaccia) for me to eat with my pesto and provided a lovely range of local goodies and wine to go with them. I left with tips for local shopping and dining, and the feeling that I had made a new friend. I would recommend Silvia’s class very highly...a thoroughly enjoyable experience!
