Чем вы займетесь
We will meet at the Wye Island Nature Reserve parking area. (If you need help finding the parking lot please reach out!) after meeting we will begin our walk / hike down the Ferry Point Trail. (The walk is 1 mile round trip! - .5mile each way.) there is a side path on the trail - an additional .4 mile semi circle loop at the end the Ferry Point Trail - called the Jack In The Pulpit Trail. (They are a part of the same trail) While on the hike I will give you information about Wye Island as well as identify several trees. The path is flat and easy to walk !!!(very capable of pushing a wheelchair down as well, only one or two small roots along path) I am happy to take pictures of you anywhere on the hike with the scenery. At the end of the trail we will come to a small beach with a picnic table. Here guests can explore the shore line, rest (there are multiple scenic views, just today I saw a Blue Heron), there will be a picnic table with snacks and hot drinks for the guests. There is also a bathroom located at the beginning and end of the trail (permanent built out-houses) I will have towels, bug spray, sun screen and any other nessesary items. After spending ample time exploring / playing / eating, we will return to the trail head. From there I can suggest restaurants or other areas of interest
Hi! Growing up on the eastern shore led me to a love for nature and exploring all that it has to offer. I’ve hiked several of our national parks, and all along the shore for the past seven years. I’ve taken ropes courses and leadership trainings for outdoor environments as well as participate in environmental clean ups whenever I can! The shore has some gorgeous spots to behold. Sharing some of these precious spots with others is pure joy. I take small tour groups on short hikes with picnic type items to a few local destinations that are not always well known to visitors.
Snack items- example: pickle slice, small bag of chips, fruit, water, hot cider
A blanket to sit on, cups, plates, napkins, towels, bug spray, sun screen, binoculars
